How We Got Here...
We might seem new to you, but chances are you've been working with us for years. DVS Creative is a division of DVS and a sister company to DVS Duplication, the service bureau that started it all in 1993. Over the years the creative side of DVS grew so much that we decided to let it borrow the car keys and go for a spin. See how fast it can go.
Our Specs...
Video Production:
We shoot in true HD using the tapeless XDCAM format, with a Sony PMW-EX3 3-Chip CMOS camera. We also have a full gear package of sticks, lights, Sennheiser mics, blood, sweat and tears.
Editing:
DVS Creative has two Final Cut Pro edit suites. Our main suite consists of the complete Final Cut Pro Studio, running in full glory HD on an Macintosh Dual 3GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon. Among our bag of encoding tricks is a sweet AJA I/O HD (full-raster 10 bit 4:2:2) patchable to just about any video format you can think of. Oh, and did we mention that the main suite is decorated as a film noir private detective office from the 1940's?
DVD & CD Authoring:
We have the privilege to author your DVD projects on the only Sonic Scenarist system in West Michigan, and one of only three in the state! With it we can author and output the most complex and compatible DVDs. Our authoring/compression one-two punch has caught Hollywood's eye more than a few times. One tool does not fill a toolbox though, that's why we have all the other typical tools as well.
Video Encoding / Compression:
Do you need video on DVD, Blu-Ray, or the web? Our knowledgeable staff encodes and transcodes video on a daily basis, no wonder we're able to keep up on the latest industry trends. In addition, we're a "high touch" facility, meaning each encode is reviewed and adjusted before compression so that you receive the highest possible quality.
